OVERVIEW: The Fall Running Program Session 1 focuses on helping young runners build a strong foundation through a mix of speed and endurance runs. This session emphasizes base training, ensuring athletes develop the strength and stamina needed for more advanced workouts. The skills and fitness gained during this phase prepare runners for Session 2, where the focus shifts towards race-specific strategies and performance.

OVERVIEW: Fall Running Program Session 2 builds on the base established in the first session and shifts the focus towards racing. Runners take the endurance and speed they developed and apply it to race-specific training, preparing them for competition. Each week, one day focuses on speed work, honing their quickness and race pace, while the other day is dedicated to distance, building their endurance for longer efforts. During this session, athletes fine-tune their pacing, strategy, and mental approach, with the goal of peak performance. Depending on race availability, runners will have the opportunity to compete in 2-3 local 5K races, allowing them to put their hard work to the test and experience the excitement of road racing.

OVERVIEW: The Winter Conditioning Program is designed to keep young athletes active and in shape during the colder months through dynamic, fun-filled workouts. The focus is on maintaining fitness with a variety of exercises, including plyometrics, sprints, and agility drills, which help improve strength, speed, and coordination. These sessions emphasize character building as much as physical fitness, encouraging teamwork, perseverance, and a positive mindset. By mixing challenging workouts with engaging activities, the program ensures athletes stay conditioned and motivated while having fun throughout the winter.

Race, Compete, and Have Fun with the Fast Cheetahs 5K Team!
From March through June, the Fast Cheetahs 5K Program gives young runners the chance to train and race together in seven local 5Ks across Bucks County. This program is all about learning race strategy, building confidence, and experiencing the excitement of competing as a team—all while having fun!
Open to runners ages 8-13 who can complete three miles, the team will meet twice a week to focus on pacing, endurance, and race-day tactics. Whether it's your first 5K or you're looking to improve your time, the Fast Cheetahs will help you reach your goals.
